The praise of the imperfect translated into photographic images. From the “unconventional” feature at the Saint Laurent show to his recent projects in the fashion industry
Amedeo Bellini does not plan: he captures a moment, a scene, allowing himself to be completely surprised, moving between spontaneity and experimentation. This is how instinct becomes a visual language, avoiding the static nature of images and settling instead on the authenticity of a single instant.
Details, fragments, imperfect intuitions. In a word: uniqueness. Much like his recent photoshoot during Paris Fashion Week, capturing the Saint Laurent runway through a wholly “unconventional” approach.

The focus was entirely shifted, with the catwalk filmed from outside through the windows. Can you tell us how it happened? “I went to Paris Fashion Week on my own, without any official invitation. The idea was simply to take a few shots outside the shows and have fun looking for subjects and situations. I didn’t expect to be able to see the Saint Laurent show from the outside, so I positioned myself in a good spot to photograph both guests and models on the runway.”
Originally from Mori, a small town in the province of Trento, Amedeo Bellini, born in 1993, began taking up photography as a self-taught hobby, almost by chance… How did your passion start? “It all began during lockdown, while watching cycling on television. I became fascinated by the action shots of sports photographers. Later, seeing them in person was a revelation.”

In your images, you combine fashion, art, design, and architecture. Is photography, for you, a form of art? “Certainly. I love reinterpreting the context as well. I’m not fond of static images or perfect forms. I’m drawn to dynamism. For me, pairing fashion creations with locations is always a fascinating challenge.”
From self-taught to professional in a few steps. Has the camera now become a faithful companion? “Yes, it follows me everywhere. Outside shows, in urban chaos, during events… If I didn’t have it with me, I’d feel uneasy by now.”
The interview continues on DENTROCASA on newsstands and online.
