Inspiration cannot be explained in words. It may arise from the crumpled page of a newspaper, a phrase overheard by chance, a song that lingers in one’s mind… Ours came from a photobooth. Yes, that very simple photographic booth where people enjoy portraying themselves in the most extravagant ways (who hasn’t tried it at least once?). A form of entertainment that has made a remarkable comeback recently, especially in its digital variations, reviving a culture that looks back to the past, to its roots, even to imperfection.
This idea captivated us so deeply that it became the leitmotif of “our” Milan Design Week. The theme we have chosen for this extensive feature is in itself evocative: Live (Me) Milan, an invitation to immerse oneself in the most exclusive side of the design capital. Our lens takes us into hotels, clubs, galleries and exceptional venues where elegance meets entertainment, sophistication blends with social vibrancy, and hospitality, fashion, art and nightlife converge.
Much of the content in this April issue reflects the aesthetic and identity of Milan today, beginning with our residential features. Our regular columns and in-depth features on events and exhibitions of the season are also shaped by this Milanese mood.
As I said at the beginning, inspiration cannot be explained; it must be experienced and DENTROCASA transforms it into a shared emotion.
The article continues on DENTROCASA on newsstands and online.
