This eco-friendly house, perfectly integrated into the landscape, bears the signature of FAR Arreda, which has been able to make the residents’ dreams come true.
Once again, the established FAR Arreda’s team – led in this case by Italo Spada – signs an important project located in Sulzano, between Lake Iseo and the woods.
Water and trees frame a villa with modern and captivating lines; the new owners decided to adapt it to their needs and tastes, wrapped in a space that spontaneously communicates with nature.
“The view that sweeps now towards the lake and now towards the mountains leaves a mark in our hearts. We can no longer do without it.”
These are the exciting words of the landlady who, like the rest of the family, fell in love with this habitat, rich in natural cues. This house is so perfectly integrated into the context that it seems like a gift from nature.

The flat roof covered with lichens not only makes it functionally efficient, but above all, it ensures that the villa is gently included in the landscape, also from the lake, without strong architectural contrasts that could be annoying and not in tune with the landscape.
“One day by chance, we walk into the woods, and we find the house of our dreams… From the lake to the woods, and here we stop. Everything in life changes, and now is the time to see the changes inside our new home. We know who to turn to…”.
And, therefore FAR Arreda took control of the situation and finished, with various modifications, a new structure that has not yet been completed. The total and well-managed harmony with the customers turned the construction period into a time of “tasting” and preparation for what will be the long-dreamed home.

“The dream is coming true. It takes as long as it takes. Breaking down some walls does not scare us, but deciding the colours a little yes, even if we trust those who see the work already finished before starting, because it is essential. The dominant colour is dark green for the walls and ceiling.
The rest comes by itself. And, while the house takes shape, the lake is immersed in silence, the surface ripples with every breath of wind, the mountains are reflected and the trees of the forest frame this spectacle of nature.”
The spacious and enveloping interiors are marked by large windows, which allow the outside world to enter and decorate the environment, in a symbolic mix with the furniture that flawlessly shows off the most exclusive brands, shaping the various areas…On the ground floor, we find the open space; going down the stairs, there is the sleeping area that leads to the garden, with different heights since it is a portion of the hill.

“From a distance, this house blends in with the trees because it wears a dark wooden dress, it matches the environment. Time goes by, and the forest is generous: in autumn, we find chestnut husks in the garden as well as frogs in the pool; we can’t wait to move here. A few more days and we will be home! They say home is like our second skin. Very true!
Here, there is a beautiful energy and synergy with everything we see and touch: the furniture, the floors, the lamps, the large sofa and the carpets. It is precisely the house we imagined we were living in. From the lake to the forest, and from the forest to the lake. In between, there is us, and our home.”
