Open-plan interiors, generous terraces, and uninterrupted views. Spaces conceived for observing, lingering and contemplating, within a restrained design in which architecture and landscape engage in a natural dialogue
The house overlooks a slope covered in low, dense vegetation, with a lightness of design that respects the site and enhances the views. The lake and the silhouettes of Cerro* Ventana and Cerro Catedral become the natural backdrop to this Argentine dwelling, without asserting dominance.

The project is composed of two simple, coherent volumes – one housing the residence, the other an elevated garden – deliberately conceived to preserve the existing vegetation system and to minimise the building’s environmental footprint. To optimise the views, the traditional layout has been inverted: the main reception spaces – living room and living-dining area – together with the main bedroom, are placed on the upper level, while the lower level accommodates the children’s and guest bedrooms, along with service spaces.
This offset between the levels is not a formal whim but a functional gesture: the setback of the upper volume creates a generous terrace that extends the house towards the landscape and, beneath it, defines a semi-covered area serving as a secondary entrance and as a space for vehicles and bicycles.

Externally, the house is defined by a slate cladding that wraps both walls and roof, lending it a monolithic, neutral character that engages with the landscape rather than competing with it. Inside, the atmosphere softens, resembling a wooden box designed to evoke the sensibility of traditional Patagonian dwellings and to provide a warm, intimate ambience.
Spatial continuity between interior and exterior becomes a guiding design principle, where materials, light and orientation work together to focus the living experience on the landscape.
