A beautiful all-wood house has been designed and built using eco-friendly materials, in complete harmony with the forest that surrounds it...
We are in Lower Silesia, in the village of Gołaczów, within the Stołowe Mountains National Park. The house, defined by lines that are simply hieratic – almost austere, yet rich in expressive impact – covers an area of 110 square metres and has been constructed entirely from eco-friendly materials.

The structure was built using only timber, with very few steel elements introduced to ensure greater stability. Wood reigns supreme throughout the structural system and the furnishings alike: from the hardwood plywood wall panels to the floor surfaces, from the doors to the gables that crown them and emphasise the interior lines, all the way to the tables and low side tables.
The house’s deliberately spartan character enhances a highly linear internal layout, with windows fitted with triple glazing to provide enhanced protection against the harsh winter climate. The forest itself seems to enter the house, with its colours and scents changing with the seasons.
The couple chose this peaceful location for a total immersion in the lush natural environment; indeed, the plot surrounding the house is the only one that borders the state-owned forests.

There are no superfluous furnishings; only what is necessary for a life lived in close contact with the surrounding landscape. The kitchen, reduced to its essentials, features dark tones that harmonise beautifully with the wooden walls. The bedrooms follow the same living philosophy: no apparently unnecessary details. Time will gradually layer into the everyday life of those who chose this house as their own.
