beyond the new buildings of CityLife, where the urban landscape begins to open up and the atmosphere changes, this delightful apartment unfolds...
It is here, within an elegant 1925 building, that the design of a roughly 60-square-metre apartment takes shape, conceived for a young Milanese with a passion for architecture and design. The brief was clear: to maximise natural light and spatial quality while preserving the strong historical and refined identity of the property.

The project therefore moves along a delicate balance, where the contemporary language is carefully integrated into the original structure, establishing an ongoing dialogue between memory and the present. The entrance immediately reveals the character of the project. One steps into a kind of “blue box”, an architectural volume that incorporates and conceals storage, doors, and technical compartments, turning the corridor into a spatial device that leads the eye towards the living area.
The entrance is defined by a fluted wall panelling that interacts with a curated arrangement of vintage mirrors on the far wall. This composition reflects and multiplies the light, enhancing the perception of space while introducing a first decorative touch.

The project is developed within an essential colour palette – blue, white, and accents of red – a subtle reference to the Milanese design tradition. Within this framework, a curated selection of furniture and objects creates a coherent narrative, where Italian design culture engages in dialogue with the apartment’s historic architecture.
Books, prints, artworks and objects collected during travels become the leitmotif running through the home. These personal elements build a layered domestic narrative, in which the architectural project becomes the framework for a broader story.
