Fragments of a bygone era, suffused with light and tactile minimalism, shape an elegant residence in Verona
There is a quiet elegance that emerges when past and present meet with restraint and sensitivity. It is precisely from this harmony that “Warm Minimalism” takes shape: a complete renovation project that transforms an apartment within a refined historic building in Verona – embellished with Liberty-style details – into a contemporary space that both welcomes and surprises.

The project by Studio ABCPLUS stands out for its ability to weave formal rigour with domestic warmth, creating a balanced dialogue between memory and innovation. The building’s original identity is respected and enhanced, while the design language expresses itself through a deeply tactile and sensory minimalism.
The concept unfolds around a careful search for balance: on the one hand, the essentiality of lines; on the other, a tactile richness that invites perception and everyday wellbeing. The generous ceiling heights, arched windows and expansive existing volumes have been preserved and reinterpreted as scenic backdrops for pure surfaces, refined details and enveloping atmospheres. Natural materials play a key role, acting as a unifying thread throughout the interior.

The reinterpretation of Liberty motifs is among the project’s most distinctive aspects. Original arches are emphasised through integrated lighting and dark trims that highlight their geometry. Transitional spaces also contribute to the narrative.
The home unfolds as a cohesive narrative of balance and refinement, where each design choice contributes to a space that welcomes, inspires and honours the passage of time and memory.
