With its Baroque charm, Noto welcomes a delightful home where light, white and gold define the stylistic choices and furnishings
The city of Noto is renowned for its Baroque style and, for this reason, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. The house we are about to visit belongs to a couple of American women from New York City who, during a visit to Noto, were captivated by the style and atmosphere of Sicily and enchanted by its beauty. They decided to invest here, purchasing a property where they could spend part of their time.
It is interesting to observe how two cities such as New York and Noto, so different from one another, could appeal to the taste of this couple, who favour two places so distant in style and geography.
The house, located on one of the streets of the historic centre, features a small staircase at its entrance that leads into the living area. This is a home where calm, silence and light are the true protagonists. Crossing the living room, one enters the kitchen with its dining area, while to the left a small corridor leads to the guest area with its bathroom.
From the kitchen, four steps lead up to a small terrace which previously formed part of another residential unit, later incorporated: from here, following the corridor, one reaches the study and the master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom.
