Quattro suite di un elegante albergo Art Nouveau arredate con iconici mobili e complementi di stile italiano

Lit d’Art è un boutique hotel in stile Liberty che nel 2019 è diventato anche una vetrina di arte, architettura e design.
L’edificio apparteneva originariamente a “De vijf werelddelen” (la Casa dei Cinque Continenti), il complesso residenziale ideato dall’architetto belga Frans Smet-Verhas che si trova nel vivace quartiere di Het Zuid, ad Anversa, a pochi passi dal Museo delle Belle Arti.
Lit d’Art è quello che viene definito un gioiello architettonico incastonato in una posizione da sogno.
Un’elegante struttura ricettiva intesa come oasi di pace e ispirazione, con quattro lussuose suite e un’area benessere per offrire qualcosa di più di un semplice pernottamento, ovvero consentire all’ospite di immergersi in una vera e propria esperienza.
Fonde l’Art Nouveau con il design contemporaneo, peraltro per mood molto italian style, con alcuni iconici arredi e complementi di Désirée come Lovely Day, Eli Fly, Koster, Sabi e Yori.
La proprietaria della struttura ricettiva, Aida Heerman, fervente appassionata d’arte e alla costante ricerca di ispirazioni, ha scelto di accogliere i propri ospiti in un ambiente di charme.
“Vidi per la prima volta questi mobili a Milano – racconta Aida Heerman – e fu amore a prima vista”.
Il brand Désirée, dunque, ha avuto il piacere di veder inseriti alcuni dei suoi best seller in un luogo di incredibile fascino che impreziosiscono la lobby, la wellness area e le 4 suite dell’hotel.
Gli arredi selezionati portano la firma di design importanti come Marc Sadler per Lovely Day, il divano da centro stanza caratterizzato dalla linearità e dalla contemporaneità del segno, e per Koster, la poltrona che unisce modernità e gusto anni Cinquanta.
Ma ci sono anche le firme di Jai Jalan per Eli Fly con la chaise longue leggera e dinamica, e il tocco di Setsu & Shinobu Ito per Sabi, la serie di tavolini bassi in tre versioni, e per Yori, il tavolino a triplo appoggio ispirato ai delicati bonsai della tradizione giapponese.
Tutto ciò che si ammira è disponibile alla vendita: la proprietaria fornisce le informazioni sugli oggetti desiderati, procurandoli poi su richiesta.
“Come appassionata d’arte e rivenditrice vado spesso alle fiere più quotate, tra cui il Salone del Mobile di Milano dello scorso anno – rivela Aida –.
In quell’occasione rimasi subito colpita dagli arredi Désirée, in particolare dal loro design e dai materiali.
Per questo ho scelto d’inserirli nel mio progetto Lit d’Art”.

ITALIAN STYLE IN ANTWERP
An elegant Art Nouveau hotel with 4 suites with iconic furniture and Italian-style accessories.

Lit d’Art is an Art Nouveau boutique hotel that became an art, architecture and design showcase in 2019.
The building originally belonged to Huis De Vijf Werelddelen — the House of the Five Continents —, the famous residential complex designed by the Belgian architect Frans Smet-Verhas, located in the lively Het Zuid district in Antwerp, a few steps from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp.
It can be defined as an architectural gem set in a dream location: an elegant accommodation facility, an oasis of peace and inspiration with four luxurious suites and a wellness area to offer something more than just an overnight stay, which means allowing the guest to dive in real and authentic experiences.
Lit d’Art blends Art Nouveau with contemporary design, a very Italian-style mood with some iconic Désirée furnishings and accessories such as Lovely Day, Eli Fly, Koster, Sabi and Yori.
The landlady of the accommodation — Aida Heerman, a passionate art lover constantly looking for inspiration —, has chosen to welcome her guests in a charming environment.
“I saw these pieces of furniture for the first time in Milan — said Aida Heerman — and it was love at first sight”.
Indeed, the brand Désirée pleasantly saw some of its bestsellers inside an incredible and charming location.
Models such as Lovely Day, Eli Fly, Koster, Sabi and Yori embellish the hotel lobby, the wellness area and the four suites.
There are also some selected furnishings signed by important designers such as Marc Sadler for Lovely Day — the sofa in the middle of the room distinguished by linear and contemporary marks — and for Koster, the armchair that combines modernity and ‘50s taste.
Moreover, Jai Jalan — that signed Eli Fly with the light and dynamic chaise longue — and the touch of Setsu & Shinobu Ito for Sabi — a series of low coffee tables in three versions — and for Yori — a table with three supports, inspired by the delicate bonsai of the Japanese tradition —.
Everything you admire is available for sale: the landlady provides information on the objects you desire, then she gets them on request.
Ada revealed: “As an art lover and retailer, I often go to the most popular fairs, including last year’s Milan Furniture Fair.
On that occasion, I was immediately struck by Désirée furnishings, in particular by their design and materials.
This is why I chose to include them in my Lit d’Art project”.
