MEMORIES OF A TRIP TO PARIS

10/11/2021

A cosy house boasting elegant wainscoting and sophisticated atmospheres, which recall classic environments and a French mood.

Sometimes, intuition is enough to create a whole atmosphere. In the interior design of this house – placed in a recently-built and prestigious complex –, the FAR Arreda team focused everything on the wainscoting.

The elegant decoration covers the walls, creating a welcoming, elegant and refined atmosphere, a symbol of the timeless classicism perceived both in the living area and in the dining area.

The wainscoting not only enhances the areas but at the same time, creates functional interior design solutions. In the living room, this decorative solution culminates in the creation of a space for the TV cabinet; in the dining area, the decorative coating results in refined partition walls.

Two large sliding glass panels separate the kitchen from the dining area: they can be opened in both ways and boast an elegant and sought-after design, the same used to divide the living area from the sleeping area.

The choice of glass allows the gaze and the light to wander unhinderedly through the areas without barriers, resulting in a unique and delicate atmosphere, complemented by the colour leitmotif.

Some of the owners’ period furnishings fit perfectly into the décor and interact with the pieces selected by FAR Arreda.

The vintage rug in the living room, the green velvet armchairs, the brass tables, the ancient elements: in this abode, everything takes us far away, recalling a trip to Paris.

The kitchen is highly-impactful too, with partially-recessed columns and full-height regular wainscoting. The tailor-made wood panelling creates a large and functional pantry with an amusing light effect in the recess.

The interesting chandelier illuminates the extendable dining table with leather chairs and a minimal design, contrasting with more classic elements.

The same exquisite and elegant style repeats in the sleeping area, where the wallpaper behind the bed – with soft tones and inspired by nature – is complemented by tables with different shapes – one round and one rectangular – and an identical marble top. The marble motif stands out in the large shower too, specifically designed to create a relaxing and perfectly functional environment.
