In this Roman flat, the timeless charm of art magnificently coexists with everyday life, through a tailor-made project!
Architects Valeria Zigarelli and Donato Riviello of Studio Riviello in Rome managed the renovation project of this flat, placed inside an important noble building in the centre of Rome.

The owners are a young couple with two children: the husband owns modern and contemporary art galleries in Rome, London, Cortina d’Ampezzo and Singapore, and the wife has a gallery that supports emerging artists from all over the world. Both have a passion for beauty, art and culture.
The layout of the entire living space, on a single level, is open; this has resulted in an uninterrupted dialogue between the different environments. Architect Zigarelli told us: “This rather imposing building with its large windows, it has a 360-degree view of the old town, where it is also possible to see Piazza di Spagna, and the Spanish Steps leading to Trinità dei Monti. The project was focused on a layout of beauty where, in addition to the art that the owners collect, the open spaces and the breathtaking views of the city, we managed to design a worktop, adapting it to a perfect frame, also combining the domestic life of the family in a comfortable and modern way.”

As soon as we open the front door, a work by artist Ian Davenport welcomes us with its lines of acrylic paint, which stretch from the wall to the floor. A domestic and personal gallery that coexists in harmony with the splendid and refined furniture and furnishing accessories, a detailed Louis XVI console with a marble top, which perfectly matches the tufted style of the pouffe by DePadova, or the Cassina table in the dining room, which perfectly blends in with the post-modern style of the room.

The connection of spaces strengthened the potential to become a place to preserve the experiences and passions of the owners.
A place that reflects a life well lived, rich in art and design.
