The interpretation of hospitality at White Deer is a distinctive philosophy, based on some essential elements: privacy and exclusivity.

Forget about Google Maps and navigation systems with geographic coordinates. This place is not geolocated, it is impossible to find it without direct references; this is precisely its alluring charm: being completely immersed in a forest, in the green heart of the Puster Valley and “in silent contact” with nature.

White Deer is an authentic rarity in the luxury hotel industry… Just like a white deer. It is a 400-sqm private chalet, an alpine lodge with contemporary comforts, created in the former hunting lodge of the bishop of Brixen, in St. Lorenzen, in a historic building dating back to 1500. The owner Stefano Barbini explained: “Some walls are even 2.5 metres wide; the lowest door is 152 cm high and the stube is 300 years old. There is so much history in here, which propels you into a pleasantly remote dimension.”

The interpretation of hospitality at White Deer is a distinctive philosophy that is based on some essential elements: privacy and exclusivity, first and foremost. “We offer a buyout option, and we welcome only one customer at a time, in order to guarantee the guest complete privacy and confidentiality, given that discretion and privacy are essential values for those who decide to stay at our accommodation. From the moment they arrive, we do the honours and assist our guests personally, as we would do with a dear friend. And as soon as they put on our slippers, they admit that they feel at home.”

The White Deer luxury chalet has kept the feeling of places intact and is spread over 400 square metres of poetry, with lots of wood and stone, to create a feeling of domestic warmth, surrounded by 17 hectares of meadows and forests belonging to the property. Stefano Barbini added: “We are more focused on software, as well as on hardware, and that’s why we focus a lot on priceless experiences because you can’t put a price on some rituals that belong exclusively to the traditions and memories of the mountain environment.”

White Deer is chosen by an international clientele, who prefers a totally pure and true approach to holidays. “After all, what is luxury for those who have everything? It’s going back to the origins and to the simplicity driven by nature: from the scent of freshly-cut wood in the forest to heat the stube, to the damp and peaty smell of the mushrooms picked at the foot of the trees to prepare dinner, from the milking of the goats with the farmer to the morning breakfast, up to the fragrance of hot bread made in the kitchen and baked in the oven. Unique experiences, which, seen up close and touched by hand, are imprinted in your memories. And they are priceless, precisely because the truly unrepeatable things in life are freely available.”
