ITS NAME IS “WONDERFUL”

11/07/2023

Nestled in the hills of Imola, this beautiful villa with modern lines and a naturalistic heart stands out, like the landscape that welcomes it.

It is precisely there that the owners wanted their second home, between the panoramic hills and the richness of the surrounding nature; dominant and wonderful with its natural essence, this dwelling is made of wood and boasts the highest and most performing technologies.

A short distance away is the Astronomical Observatory, built in 1986, which makes the area known and considered but at the same time silent and respectful of privacy, a plus that makes liveability even more appreciable.

As you can see from the pictures, from any angle you look at it, it shines, and not only for the brightness of the rooms – it would be too obvious –; its beauty lies in several aesthetic and functional features that make it an interesting project.

It was signed by architect Francesca Mazzolani, who – thanks to the trust, understanding and collaboration created with the owners – gracefully made this structure fit into the landscape which, thanks to the majesty of its modern and precise lines, always maintains a certain elegance.

The star of the project is the large twelve-metre window with the swimming pool just a few steps away, and the panoramic view of the surrounding nature and of the city, which at night is a show of small lights.

The raised entrance leads to the living area, a large open space shared by the relaxation area and the kitchen, which features a three-metre island.

Both areas enjoy lots of light and give a feeling of strong contact with the outside, thanks to the porch protected by a bioclimatic pergola that runs along the whole length of the house.

The villa develops to the east, where the various rooms are outlined, from the living room to the sleeping area, with the advantage of enjoying suggestive sunrises, both when you wake up and during morning breakfasts.

The seduction of this modern habitat is tangible in every corner: from the attention to materials, up to the furnishings. The Piasentina stone-effect stoneware flooring evens out all the indoor areas, while the teak wood slats cover the part dedicated to the porch, which in the summer becomes the continuation of the living room, set up with a table and comfortable sofas, where the sunshade slats create suggestive plays of light and shadow, between inside and outside.

Moving on to the sleeping area, among the various rooms we find the master bedroom, also equipped with a breathtaking view, with the en-suite accessible from a double entrance, from the bedroom and from the shower.

Everywhere, the atmosphere is enveloping and intimate. Here, you can breathe an air of quietness and lightness. Comfort and nature find a home in this modern project, where beauty and style are an integral part of everyday life.
