In Brescia, on the top floor of a small building, lies this distinctive attic flat. The renovation project was undertaken by the company Prospektiv, which has breathed new life into the home’s aesthetic. Their work included replacing the furniture, restoring the bathrooms, sanding the floors, redecorating the walls, and redesigning the lighting.

The owners, two university students, wanted to create a space for sharing and playing where they could socialise with peers in an atmosphere that wouldn’t feel too serious or formal. Prospektiv met every need with flair, delivering lively, colourful furnishings inspired by the world of pop art. Quality materials and a few iconic design pieces give this home a strong personality.

Quality materials and a few iconic design pieces give this home a strong personality. From a design perspective, creative freedom was the key to every choice. The only constraint was to preserve the wooden ceiling and the parquet flooring.

The proposal was to sand the parquet to give it a more natural, textured finish, less glossy than before. The aim was to bring it closer to the aesthetic of the ceiling, so that the two surfaces – floor and ceiling – would interact in harmony with the walls. The light tones, ranging from grey to sky blue, create a sense of cohesion and enhance the spaciousness of the rooms.
