FAMILY WARMTH

17/02/2023

In the Pflersch Valley, a family hotel blends harmoniously with the landscape, leaving nature in the foreground.

Not far from the Austrian border, at the bottom of the Pflersch Valley, facing Mount Tribulaun and a few kilometres from Sterzing and the Brenner Pass, we find the Feuerstein Family Hotel: 93 accommodations all designed to convey warmth, well-being and harmony, as well as to meet families’ needs.

The large windows act as a link between the outdoor and the internal environment, combined with natural building materials such as wood, silver quartzite and locally-produced wool to create a welcoming atmosphere.

There are small rooms – perfect for singles with children – and suites for large families: all have terraces or balconies with separate rooms to guarantee their own spaces while preserving the parents’ privacy.

There is also a 3000-sqm mountain SPA with an adults-only area, as well as areas specifically dedicated to children and teenagers, for both play and learning activities.

The Feuerstein Nature Family Resort is owned by the South Tyrolean entrepreneur Peter Mader, who bought an old farm in 2000 and turned it into the current structure, after several renovation phases.

It is a resort designed for families and to be in harmony with nature, combining child-friendly architecture and furnishings with a simple and timeless design.

Natural elements such as silver quartz stone and the typical wood of the valley have been used to create warm interiors in a perfect Alpine style.

The large glass facades offer a view of nature, resulting in a modern and welcoming atmosphere.

The decor is refined and minimal: Italian design matches with natural local products, giving life to a sober and elegant architecture shaped by nature.

The materials have been carefully chosen: the fabrics are precious but resistant and embroidered to perfection, and the furniture is chiselled by craftsmen to shape the rooms, where untreated spruce wood is the absolute star.

The Feuerstein is 100% energy independent. It is heated with wood, and the heat from the wood chip boiler is obtained using only local wood; a solution with zero CO2 emissions.

In addition, the power plant produces 100% green electricity using the power of water.
