It is called Splendido Mare Portofino and is a refined guest house of the English Belmond group, linked to the history of the village itself. It is located exactly in the elegant Piazzetta.
The redesign of the building – which recently took place by the Parisian interior design studio Festen Architecture which stems from the collaboration between Charlotte de Tonnac and Hugo Sauzay, and whose style is so popular amongthe upper class – was not an effort of modernization, but a philological commitment to jealously preserve its history through a balanced mix of ancient, classic and contemporary.
After all, this legendary hotel is a mythical and timeless place, where the present is intertwined with tales, anecdotes and memories to be preserved. From its romantic windows, you can admire the turquoise inlets of the gulf, together with the green promontory of hills all around; here, panoramic peace abounds as far as the eye can see.
