Cariolato Arredamenti signs an interior design project where the fusion between classic and modern styles creates an enveloping and refined setting.

We are in Padua, in a period building located in the old town. Here, the design of Cariolato’s team brought back to life this wonderful four-storey house.

Anna Ronco, the interior designer who followed the owners step by step, explained: “When the house was purchased, it had been renovated with a very modern and minimalist style. Since the new residents were oriented towards a classic taste, the first goal was to find a balance between the two styles: classic and modern.”

Therefore, the interior design was studied in this direction.

“We worked by adding important furnishings, and a few carefully selected quality pieces; we created a welcoming atmosphere through the decoration, both with highly-tactile and resin effects, as well as with hand-painted creations on the walls and precious silk wallpapers.”

Therefore, a classic reinterpretation that perfectly matches the original antique wooden ceiling, ideal for making the environment unique and distinctive. The living area boasts refined and very comfortable environments.

We find a living room, in which the Baxter padded sofa dominates, contrasting with the extendable table with an essential design and the equipped bar cabinet, inserted in wainscoting with built-in lighting.

Then, there is another relaxation room with a TV area and a large Edra sofa, designed to achieve the utmost comfort. The dining room is particularly impressive: here, we find precious hand-painted silk wallpaper on the walls and the spectacular Baxter chandelier, a sophisticated design with classic references.

The star in the room is the remarkable Poliform table in carved wood with a central rotating element in gold Calacatta marble, together with the very special hanging resin cupboard.

The clean and minimal kitchen, with a large total white peninsula, is meant to be a more technical environment, where you can cook in harmony and beauty.

The master bedroom is on the first floor. Here, the walls have been darkened to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bed is made with padded panelling in leather and textured fabric.

Since the bedroom has two very small windows, they built ad-hoc lighting into the ceiling, to increase the light and create a pleasant setting.

A shaped mirror in the corridor adds dynamism, by contrasting with the lowered ceiling.

This elegant and refined style can also be found in the master bathroom: completely covered in marble-effect stoneware, the environment plays on shades of warm wood and champagne, with some mirrored areas. Furthermore, customized spaces for the owners’ perfume collection could not be left out.

Good taste and simplicity also mark the child’s bedroom: it is covered with geometric wallpaper in pastel tones and designed with an integrated wall containing the study area, the games and the bookcase.
