A Parigi, un’abitazione ispirata per spazi, forme e colori alla storia multiculturale della città.

Nell’immaginario collettivo Parigi è la città romantica per eccellenza, quel luogo magico che seduce attraverso la sua bellezza universalmente riconosciuta e la poesia che ne permea strade, piazze e palazzi. Ma Parigi non è solo questo: è anche una città senza tempo e incredibilmente cosmopolita, una mixité dove stili di vita ed etnie diverse si mischiano formando un variopinto universo multiculturale.
La storia francese ha infatti favorito da sempre il fenomeno dell’immigrazione e diverse sono le lingue che si sentono parlare lungo le strade della città. I suoi abitanti non sono solo europei, ma anche e soprattutto orientali, africani e sudamericani.
È questo lato multietnico e privo di un tempo definito che ha ispirato la realizzazione di questa splendida ed inusuale abitazione parigina. Un fabbricato dalla superficie generosa che fa delle forme del passato e della storica destinazione artigianale un valore aggiunto poiché mescola i caratteri di un’architettura dagli ampi volumi alle funzioni dell’abitare contemporaneo grazie a sapienti scelte formali.
Lo spazio vive di partizioni minime, votate alla massima flessibilità d’uso, sfruttando le ampie vetrate aperte sull’esterno per creare una luminosità diffusa esaltante. L’allestimento porta all’interno della casa quella mixité culturale che pervade la città attraverso l’uso di pezzi senza tempo, realizzati con le più svariate materie prime provenienti da tutto il mondo.
Creazioni artigianali dalla caratteristiche variegate, selezionate dalla proprietaria tra le opere di artigiani incontrati viaggiando in Africa, India, Indonesia, Medio Oriente ed Europa. Una serie di oggetti unici, accostati con gusto, che compongono un perfetto mix tra suggestione e funzionalità, capace di rendere l’ambiente unico ed irripetibile.
Il tutto è “adagiato” su uno sfondo neutro, ricavato da cromie sobrie nei toni del grigio che rivestono pavimenti, pareti e soffitti, e dal quale spiccano per il colore più scuro le strutture portanti in ferro del fabbricato e gli elementi di partizione, come porte e pareti divisorie. A completare coerentemente l’insieme, l’utilizzo di lampade a sospensione e da tavolo dalle forme elaborate, testimoni di epoche diverse.

In Paris, an abode boasts spaces, shapes and colours inspired by the multicultural history of the city.

In the collective imagination, Paris is the ultimate romantic city; the magic location that seduces through its widely recognised beauty and its poetry that permeates streets, squares and buildings… but Paris is more than that, it is also a timeless and unbelievably cosmopolitan city, a melting pot where different lifestyles and ethnic groups mix up, creating a colourful multicultural universe.
As a matter of fact, French history has always facilitated the phenomenon of immigration and several languages are spoken through the streets of the city. Its residents are not only European but also — and above all — Asian, African and South American people. This multi-ethnic aspect devoid of a defined time span has precisely inspired the creation of this magnificent and unusual Parisian abode.
This building boasts a large surface where its historical artisanal function together with past shapes represent the added value that mixes up the stylistic features of a design with large volumes and the purposes of contemporary living, thanks to wise formal choices. This space lives on minimal subdivisions, consecrated to the highest flexibility of use, by exploiting the wide outside glass windows to create an exciting hazy glow effect.
The setting up brings inside the house that cultural diversity which pervades the city through timeless pieces, crafted using a variety of raw materials from all over the world. Handcrafted creations with different features, selected by the owner among the masterpieces of several artisans met while she travelled to Africa, India, Indonesia, Europe, and the Middle East.
A number of unique and one-of-a-kind items — tastefully combined — create the perfect combination of functionality and awesomeness, able to make the space a unique one-off. The whole lies on a neutral background, obtained with simple grey colours that cover floorings, walls and ceilings, where the iron backbone of the building and subdivision elements — such as doors and partitions — stand out for their darker shades.
Hanging lamps and a table with elaborate textures consistently complete the whole set by witnessing different ages.
