Equipaggiata con l’innovativo sistema di propulsione Rolls Royce Azipull Carbon 65, rappresenta l’avanguardia del settore nautico.

Skyler è la terza unità della gamma Benetti Fast dotata di sistema di propulsione AZP C65, il più avanzato sul mercato sotto il profilo tecnologico. Con una lunghezza di 38,1 m e una larghezza di 8,3 m, realizzato in materiali composti e carbonio nei cantieri Benetti di Viareggio, Fast 125’ è uno yacht semi-wide body che si articola su 4 ponti e ospita 5 cabine in totale. L’esterno, dalla linea sportiva, è stato progettato da Stefano Righini, che ha fatto ricorso ad ampie vetrate orizzontali per accentuare l’aspetto slanciato dello yacht. Un’altra caratteristica di rilievo è il particolare elemento centrale a lato della sovrastruttura, che copre la scala d’accesso all’upper deck.

Gli interni di lusso sono stati elaborati da Redman Whiteley Dixon a partire dalla configurazione “Air”, una delle tre opzioni di stile per interni che Benetti offre agli armatori. Il proprietario, un diportista esperto, ha richiesto numerose personalizzazioni, come l’ampio uso di loose furniture di grandi marchi del design, come Glyn Peter Machin, Sutherland, Minotti e Meridiani. Skyler è equipaggiato, come detto, con il sistema di propulsione di ultima generazione specificamente progettato da Rolls Royce per la famiglia Fast 125’: Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65), un propulsore sterzante leggero e ad alte prestazioni, interamente in fibra di carbonio, anche nelle parti strutturali. Una simile innovazione ha ridotto sensibilmente il peso del sistema propulsivo e ha permesso un migliore layout dell’imbarcazione.

Lo yacht è dotato anche di joystick sul ponte, per un ormeggio facile e sicuro. Un’altra importante caratteristica del sistema di propulsione dello Skyler è la tecnologia “stay on spot”, che mantiene la barca nella posizione inserita nel GPS senza ormeggio o ancora. Un altro vantaggio di questo innovativo sistema di propulsione è l’andatura silenziosa del Fast 125’: grazie al peso ridotto dell’Azipull, la sala macchine può essere posizionata più a poppa, in modo che le cabine degli ospiti risultano silenziose e prive di vibrazioni.

Il Fast 125’ ha infatti ricevuto dal RINA la classificazione Comfort Class. Skyler ha anche una rivoluzionaria carena D2P – Displacement to Planing® con un wave piercer di prua che consente all’armatore di usare lo yacht in modalità dislocante con ridotti consumi di carburante alle basse velocità e in modalità planante a velocità più elevate. Le sue eccellenti prestazioni sono dovute anche alla leggerezza dello scafo e alla sovrastruttura realizzata in fibra di carbonio e resine epossidiche.

Aree esterne

L’esterno si declina in quattro aree diverse. La spiaggetta sul lower deck è dotata di un proprio bar ed è interamente studiata per godersi il mare. Il garage ad apertura laterale lascia l’area di poppa a disposizione degli ospiti e può alloggiare un tender e due moto d’acqua.

Verso poppa, sull’upper deck, l’armatore ha commissionato un lussuoso tavolo da pranzo in teak lavorato a mano, con diametro di 2 m e dettagli in vetro e acciaio. Sul ponte è stato predisposto un lounge con sedute personalizzate, lunghe oltre 2 m e larghe quasi 5. È stata prevista anche un’area relax, con due enormi divani prendisole e una piscina. Il sun deck è interamente dedicato al relax: è attrezzato con zona bar e relativi equipaggiamenti firmati Glyn Peter Machin, due divani a L e un’area dining con arredi su misura firmati Minotti.

Il layout è stato studiato per accogliere comodamente fino a 10 ospiti in 5 cabine. Queste includono la suite armatoriale, 3 cabine doppie e una con letti gemelli in cui può trovare posto un terzo letto. Gli alloggi per l’equipaggio ospitano 7 persone per garantire un servizio completo e una lussuosa esperienza a bordo.

Gli interni

Progettati da Redman Whiteley Dixon in collaborazione con il team di progettazione di Benetti, hanno un design contemporaneo, con linee semplici e pulite, che esaltano i preziosi materiali usati per gli arredi. Le finiture sono in ebano lucidato, legno tailandese e legno frisé del Tanganica.

I soffitti sono rifiniti in vari tipi di pellame e tutti i componenti di metallo sono in nichel lucidato. Nel lower deck si trovano quattro cabine per gli ospiti: due VIP con letti “super queen”, una cabina doppia e una cabina con letti gemelli, più uno estraibile. Il legno frisé del Tanganica è stato usato ovunque. Ogni cabina ha un soffitto in pelle di colore diverso, con accenti dello stesso materiale che si ripetono sulle pareti, nei rivestimenti e negli inserti. I colori scelti sono il verde acqua, il verde acido, il lavanda e il blu.

La moquette è particolarmente soffice per piacevoli sensazioni tattili. Il vano scale è completamente rivestito di pelle con una speciale fodera interna che la rende ancora più morbida. Sul main deck, il salone è particolarmente luminoso grazie al generoso uso del vetro, che permette alla luce naturale di inondare l’ambiente dalle tonalità chiare. L’effetto è un liberatorio senso di spazio. Qui, Benetti ha creato una vera continuità fra l’esterno e l’interno, in parte grazie alle enormi vetrate panoramiche a tutta altezza. Le pareti in legno frisé del Tanganica e gli inserti in nichel cromato creano un bel contrasto con le superfici lucide dei tavoli e dei dettagli di ebano.

Gli arredi loose furniture dei migliori nomi del design internazionale vengono usati con generosità, come i divani e i pouf firmati Meridiani e Holly Hunt. Il tavolo da pranzo custom è predisposto per 10 posti ed è stato realizzato da Dakota Jackson. Il pavimento dell’area dining è di legno e si appoggia su un rivestimento speciale a base di schiuma. La cabina dell’armatore riprende molti motivi del salone, come la moquette ultra soffice. L’ampia zona guardaroba conduce alla cabina arredata con mobili Minotti.

Spettacolari i due balconi che si aprono ai lati, uno a babordo e uno a tribordo, con meccanismo azionabile in remoto. I due bagni sono rivestiti di onice, con rubinetteria in nichel lucidato. Lo Sky Lounge sull’upper deck ha una comoda area per sedersi a poppa, con divani, un bar in marmo e onice e uno schermo da 75”.

I mobili sono di Meridiani, Minotti e Holly Hunt. Su questo ponte si trova anche l’area benessere, con palestra, toilette diurna e alloggio del comandante. L’alloggio del comandante ha accesso diretto alla timoniera, dotata di doppio sedile per i piloti e divani in pelle e palissandro.

Benetti presents Fast 125’ M/Y Skyler

Equipped with the innovative Rolls Royce Azipull Carbon 65 propulsion system, it represents the state-of-the-art in the yachting industry.

Skyler is the third unit of the Benetti Fast range, equipped with an AZP C65 propulsion system, the most technologically advanced on the market according to its technological profile.

With a length of 38.1m and a width of 8.3m, built in composites and carbon inside Benetti’s Viareggio shipyards, the Fast 125’ is a four deck semi-wide body yacht with a total of 5 cabins. The sporty exterior was designed by Stefano Righini using an expanse of horizontal windows to enhance the yacht’s streamlined look. Another remarkable key feature is a unique central element in the side of the superstructure that covers the access stairway to the upper deck.

The luxurious interior has been designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon, based on the “Air” configuration, one of the three interior style options that Benetti offers to the ship owners. The owner, an experienced yachtsman, requested many custom touches such as widespread use of loose furniture from famous design brands such as Glyn Peter Machin, Sutherland, Minotti and Meridiani.

Skyler is equipped – as we just said – with the new generation propulsion system specifically designed by Rolls Royce for the Fast 125’ family: the Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65). It is is a high performance, lightweight, steerable thruster that uses carbon fibre, even for structural parts. This kind of innovation has substantially reduced the propulsion system’s weight and allowed for a better vessel layout. The yacht is also equipped with a joystick on the bridge for easy and safe docking.

Another important and remarkable feature of Skyler’s propulsion system is its “stay on spot” technology that keeps the boat in the position entered in the GPS, without mooring or anchoring. Another advantage offered by this innovative propulsion system is the Fast 125’s quiet ride: thanks to the Azipull’s reduced weight, the engine room can be placed closer to the stern, leaving the guest cabins quiet and vibration-free. The Fast 125’ was awarded the RINA Comfort Class classification.

Skyler has also a revolutionary D2P – Displacement to Planing® hull form with wave piercer bow that allows the owner to use the yacht in displacement mode with low fuel consumption at low speeds and in planning mode at higher speeds. Its excellent performance is also due to the lightness of the hull and to the superstructure built in carbon fibre and epoxy resins.

Exterior areas

The exterior has four distinct areas. The beach area on the lower deck is equipped with its own bar and is completely dedicated to enjoying the sea. The laterally opening garage leaves the stern area free for guests and can accommodate a tender and two jet skis. On the upper deck, close to the stern, the owner requested a luxurious handcrafted teak dining table that is 2m in diameter and has steel and glass details. On the deck, there is a lounge with a custom seating solution that is over two meters long and almost five wide. There is also an area for relaxing with two huge sun pads and a pool.

The sun deck is entirely dedicated to relaxing: it is equipped with a bar area with Glyn Peter Machin bar tools, two L shaped sofas and a dining area with custom furniture signed by Minotti.

The layout has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 cabins. Those include a master suite, 3 double cabins and a twin cabin with a third extra bed. Crew cabins guest 7 workers to assure full service for a luxurious onboard experience.

The interior

The interior, designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon in collaboration with Benetti’s in-house design team, has a contemporary design, with straight and simple lines, to enhance precious materials used in the décor. Finishings feature glossy ebony, Thai wood and Tanganyika fiddleback wood. Ceilings are finished in a variety of leathers; all metal accessories are glossy nickel. The lower deck has four guest cabins: two VIPs with “super queen” sized beds, a double one and a twin cabin with a pull out extra bed. Tanganica fiddleback wood has been used almost everywhere.

Each cabin has a different coloured leather ceiling, with leather accents repeated in walls, upholstery and inserts. The colours chosen are aqua, acid green, lavender and blue. The carpeting is particularly soft for pleasant tactile sensations. The stairwell is completely covered with leather with a special lining to make it even softer.

On the main deck, the saloon is especially bright thanks to a generous use of glass that lets natural light flood into the light-toned space. The consequence is a liberating sense of space. Here, Benetti has created a real continuity between inside and outside, thanks to the huge floor-to-ceiling picture windows too. Tanganyika fiddleback wood walls and chromed nickel inserts contrast nicely with glossy ebony table tops and details. Loose furniture conceived by top international design firms is used generously here, such as Meridiani and Holly Hunt sofas and poufs.

The custom dining table can seat ten guests and has been made by Dakota Jackson. The dining area flooring is made of wood backed with a special foam covering. The owner’s cabin picks up many motifs from the main saloon, such as the ultra soft carpeting. A large dressing area leads into the cabin where Minotti furniture features.

The two opening side balconies are spectacular, one port and one starboard, with a mechanism operated by remote. The two bathrooms are entirely lined in onyx, with polished nickel taps. The upper deck sky lounge has a comfortable seating area with couches close to the stern, a marble and onyx bar and a 75” screen. Furniture is by Meridiani, Minotti and Holly Hunt.

There are also a wellness area and a gym, a bathroom/ changing room and the Captain’s cabin on this deck.

The Captain’s cabin has direct access to the wheelhouse, equipped with dual pilot’s seats but also leather and rosewood couches.
